Slum Village Detroit USA Chances are, if you are anywhere near the Detroit music scene, you’ve heard of the influential hip hop trio that makes up Slum Village. The group was founded in the early 90’s by 3 childhood friends: Baatin, T3, rapper and producer J Dilla, who all grew up together in the Conant Gardens neighborhood of Detroit, MI.
Felipe Andres Coronel, better known by the stage name Immortal Technique, is a Peruvian-American hip hop recording artist and activist. Most of his lyrics focus on controversial issues in global politics. with special guests Chino XL & Poison Pen

One of the west coast’s OG hip-hop groups, People Under The Stairs have remained staunchly DIY and to this day still boast one of the strongest underground followings in the scene, thanks to classic records like O.S.T. and The Next Step. Since their inception, the group has consisted solely of Christopher Portugal (Thes One) and Michael Turner, employing an old school DIY authenticity of sampling, MCing, DJing, and producing all of their output.
Part of the fabric of Los Angeles’ hip-hop / jazz / soul avant-garde since 2005, Georgia Anne Muldrow has built a mightily impressive discography and a reputation to match during her career as a vocalist, songwriter, producer and musician. It is fitting that in 2018 she should sign to Flying Lotus’s Brainfeeder imprint - a record label deeply embedded in LA, with a ton of shared history and a united vision of the future - to release her stunning new album.
