Circular Time is a hard-hitting, fun, world group, that performs blues, jazz, funk, hip-hop, zydeco, reggae, and classic rock. They work regularly in Europe, in New Orleans and New York and in North Africa, in Festivals, Clubs, Embassies, Parties, and Theatres. Members' in the group have played with artists,' such as B. B. King, Steely Dan, Smokey Robinson, Ashford & Simpson, Little Richard, Lionel Hampton, and other well-known jazz, blues and funk artists.
Gary Foote: New York based, bass player, the regular touring bass player for Smokey Robinson, bass for Blood Sweat and Tears for 12 years, toured with Billy Cobham, Maxwell, Wu Tang Clan, P Diddy's Bad Boy artists, etc., toured in over 75 countries.
Daniel Sadownick: World known percussion player, toured for 2 years with the Lionel Hampton Orchestra, tours and recordings with Michael Brecker, Dennis Chambers, Taylor Swift, Steely Dan, Al Green, Christian McBride, Richard Bona, Nicholas Payton, Dianne Reeves, Nat Adderley, amongst others.
Tony Lewis: New York based, renowned drummer, song-writer/producer, who has worked or toured with Little Richard, Sting, Roy Ayers, Cyndi Lauper, Sam of Sam and Dave fame, B.B King, amongst many others.
Bart Douglas: Founder of Circular Time in 1998: Double Masters in Literature and Creative Writing, studied Indian sacred music/ragas with Savitry Nair, in Paris, France. Toured in Morocco, Algeria, Senegal, France, Switzerland, New Orleans, amongst others.
Sylvester "Sly" Scott: New York saxophonist, performed with many world bands, touring with Bootsy Collins and The Hardest Working Band, and The Eric Person Big Band, amongst others.
Timothy Robinson: Trombone player, studying at Manhattan School of Music and The Royal College of Music, London. Has performed with the Arie Shaw Band, and in Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, Lincoln Center, The Kennedy Center, Washington.
JS Williams: highly sought after trumpeter from New York City. Performed with jazz greats Winard harper and Marc Cary, and with many other groups including Living Colour. Kwartei Jones-Quartei, originally from Ghana, guitar/vocalist, studio musician ( as all are ) , performs in a variety of genres, all over the world.
